Accountability

We want to see policy used to create cultures of accountability. Where agencies understand their role as equal partners within the CCR and respect the role and capacity of others on agreed terms, victims and survivors are made safer. We will pursue policy change which creates transparent and proportionate models of inspection and regulation, to avoid cultures of blame within a CCR and structure work around clearly articulated shared values.

A vital element of accountability is providing spaces for learning and development, and STADA continues to provide training as one of our core outputs. We want to see compulsory training provided by statutory agencies on how to respond effectively to domestic abuse, ensuring they are supported to deliver a tailored, co-ordinated approach.
